R. Willard "Will" Hoing is a federal funding expert who has spent 10 years consistently securing federal dollars for nonprofits – healthcare systems, colleges and universities, local governments, social service agencies – and assisting with drawing down and managing these funds. He remains “undefeated” in several federal grant programs, having won funding for every application submitted for his clients to those programs.
Will is a seasoned federal funding professional who has served nonprofits with all levels of federal funding experience. In fact, Will has grown entities’ federal funding portfolios to such an extent that he often has had to lead them through enhancing and expanding their grants management and compliance personnel and processes. Such efforts involve guidance on data collection and evaluation, reporting, procurement, planning, post-award amendments, and more.
A native of the DC area, Will received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of William & Mary, double-majoring in Government and Classical Studies. He earned his Juris Doctor from Washington and Lee University School of Law.
Will and his wife Meredith are proud parents of their newborn son, Joe, and their beautiful basset hound with epic ears, Philomena (Phil). Phil was named as a runner-up in Garden & Gun’s 2020 Good Dog Photo Contest and Editor’s Choice for the Washingtonian’s 2021 Cutest Dog Photo Contest. Will remains hopeful that Joe will soon receive his own accolades.
Beyond spending time with Meredith, Joe, and Phil, Will is a mediocre golfer and an avid supporter of Liverpool Football Club.
